FAQs

Have questions?  Here are answers to the most frequently asked ones:

Q: Who is coming?

A: Great question!  We have a general reunion event in our Facebook group where Facebook members can see who is planning to attend the reunion.  We will not be creating separate events or requesting RSVPs for each individual event.  As of 6/12/2023, the following 115 people are listed as “going” or “maybe.”

Q: Am I supposed to come to all of the events or can I just come to one?

A: It’s completely up to you!  We planned a variety events to try to appeal to a broad number of classmates.  If you only plan to attend one, we encourage you to come Saturday night as this event has historically been the best attended.

Q: Is the reunion free?

A:  Only the golf outing, mini-golf, and Kernels game have fees.  All other events are free to attend. However, the organizers do incur costs even for the free events – so we suggest each classmate attending donate a minimum of $25 per person/$50 per couple.  See our donate page for more information.

Q: Which events do I have to sign up for in advance?

A: Only the golf outing and Kernels game require advance registration.

Q: I was in the Kennedy Class of 98 my freshman year but did not graduate with the class.  Can I still attend?

A: YES!  You are welcome to join our reunion events if you were a part of the Kennedy Class of 1998 at any time.

Q: Is my significant other invited?  Are my kids invited?

A: Significant others are welcome at all events!  Kids are welcome only at the following family-friendly events: Friday night Newbo event, Saturday morning school tour, Saturday mini golf, and Sunday Kernels game.

Q: What do I wear?

A: All events are casual.

Q: How can I help?

A: Great question!  First, we need help raising funds. We suggest each classmate attending donate a minimum of $25 per person or $50 per couple.  We also have business sponsorship options.  All the details are on our donate page.  Second, we need volunteers to help!  This can be anything from event help like setup/teardown, welcoming people, taking photos, or helping us with the final planning details including searching for our missing classmates.  Contact us here!

Q: Who’s in charge of this?

A: Keri Althoff & Carrie Blankenship have decided to step down as reunion leaders after planning several fantastic previous reunions.  Joyce (Jakubowsky) Oaks is chairing the 25-year and we have a great committee of 12 others so far.  Fill out the contact form if you want to help!

Q: When will our next reunion be?

A: After the 25-year, we don’t know!  If we have a volunteer to lead, we will continue having reunions every 5 or 10 years.

Q: I have another question.  Who can I contact?

A: Please fill out our contact form to get in touch with the reunion committee.
